Handmade Jewelry from Komark Originals
has arrived in the Ciao Bella Boutique!!! Y’all I am so excited to bring you these fantastic pieces made from quality materials, designed and crafted by hand just for the Ciao Bella Community!
It is really hard to source products made in the USA and even harder to find beautiful handmade jewelry at an affordable price made in the USA. This is an art, a craft, a skill that takes practice and time as well as materials and quite honestly most of us have forgotten the true cost and value these types of products are worth! The modern era has trained us to want everything right here, right now, and as cheap as possible! That almost always means compromising quality. Consumers are starting to see the importance of Made in the USA but still expect to still pay cheap outsourced prices… it doesn’t work like that. They say they want handmade but also want to pay pennies for the time invested into the craft. Just think about it… how much do you expect to be paid hourly for a specialized skill?
Let’s get back to the fantastic announcement of the Ciao Bella Boutique and Komark Originals partnership!
I could tell you the company back story but I think I will let Komark Originals speak for themselves 😉
“Hello! I am excited to join the Ciao Bella group of artisans!
I’d like to share a little of my story and some details on my brand and fashion philosophy.
I had been making jewelry as a hobby for years, but after 25 years of teaching, I found out I had late stage cancer. I couldn’t go back to teaching, couldn’t substitute teach, couldn’t even volunteer at a school because the chemo treatments that left me without hair (temporarily) left me without a decent immune system (permanently). Schools are germ factories as well as places of learning, so I had to give up being an educator.
So through adversity, a new calling was born. Months of being housebound turned out to be a creative blessing. I had time to devote to my craft and it helped me to focus on the joy of creation instead of the fear and pain that came with treatment. I started selling my jewelry at craft fairs and other venues until I felt comfortable enough to start my own company, Komark Originals.
My company is divided into two entities: Komark Originals, which consists of original, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces and my subsidiary, Komark Creations, which is a more budget-minded collection of jewelry of which I have made several copies.
Everything in both collections is nickel free (unless otherwise specified) and as allergy-free as I can make it without compromising the design of my final product. Each piece is meticulously hand-crafted and worked until the design is just right. Some may be similar in style, but no two pieces from the Originals collection are the same. Once I have finalized that design, there will never be another, so you can know you truly have a unique piece of jewelry! I have made a commitment to quality and craftsmanship within the confines of the modern woman’s budget. You could say I believe in style without suffering.
My company name and logo have a special meaning near and dear to my heart. My maiden name is Komar and I added the k at the end because my first initial is a K. You could say it is my way of making my mark in the world: my Ko”mark” if you will.
My logo is a stylized mosquito (not because I am a bloodsucker, but because Komar means mosquito in Ukrainian). If you look REALLY closely, you might be able to see that the mosquito in the logo is made up of the stylized K from the Komark Originals logo turned on its side. I love little secret, fun things like that and I occasionally incorporate a mystery or special meaning into my jewelry pieces.
I believe that jewelry is an expression of who you are, and as such, should reveal or hint at your inner self (e.g., elegant, whimsical, serious, playful, ecology-minded, family-oriented, etc.). I hope you find something that speaks to you. In any case, I welcome you to the Komark jewelry family.

Do all the good you can…
In all the ways you can…
As long as ever you can.
P.S. I hope you enjoy the “Skelegant Collection”: fun and tasteful items to please the undead or just those who like to have a bit of fun in October. The prices are far from scary.”
